You don’t have to take pleasure in waxing pedantic to write about ethnic cuisine, but it helps. Me, I’m a stickler for Italian spelling and pronunciation. An ardent Italophile since college, I turn a little purple when I hear someone say “broo-SHED-a” or ask for a panini....
