Slope Style
Chalk the inaugural AST Winter Dew Tour's first stop in Breckenridge (Dec. 18 "“ 21) as a win for the home team, as several of Colorado's big name slope-devils established an early lead in the overall Dew Cup. Aspen's Gretchen Bleiler was her usual jaw-dropping, style-savvy self, taking first in women's superpipe, while Breckenridge's 17-year-old Bobby Brown came out of nowhere to dominate the freeski men's slopestyle finals. The tour's roster of talent includes 24 Olympians (yes, that includes Shaun White and Hannah Teter), along with noteworthy locals Steve Fisher (right) and Peter Olenick. "It feels amazing," said Bleiler after narrowly edging out Vermont's Kelly Clark for the win. "All the girls were tearing it up, so it could have been anyone's game." The Winter Dew Tour ends its three-mountain competition this month in Truckee, California.
