Fireplaces are romantic, cozy, and warm. They can also be messy, environmentally inappropriate, and prone to collecting birds’ nests in their off hours. Enter Napoleon’s gas-powered direct vent and vent-free fireplaces (napoleonfireplaces.com). As the name implies, they either both draw combustion air and vent directly to the outside via a wall or roof, sans chimney, or require no vent at all. And while the company does sport some traditional designs, we can’t get enough of the contemporary lines and sleek look of the Modern collection. So what’s stopping you, baby? Light my fire.
