Denverite: Hope Rike of It's Just Lunch
Valentine's Day is upon us, and we wanted the dating service perspective on being single in the city.

How does it work? The first step is to schedule a personal interview so we can better get to know you and what it is that you’re looking for in a potential partner. From there, we hand-select your matches based on your personal requirements and our years of experience. We give you a detailed description of the person you’ll be meeting, giving you everything you need to know while never giving out personal information such as last names or phone numbers. We arrange a convenient time and place for the two of you to meet for lunch, brunch, or a drink after work. We even make the reservation for you, so all you have to do is show up and have a good time.
You call yourselves “first date specialists.” Have you ever had a bad date? Most singles dread that first date, the work involved, and all the pressure they put on themselves — just to find out they don’t have chemistry with the person. [With us] you don’t have to do any of the work and the date is coordinated for you. There’s none of that typical stress because you know we have several more matches waiting to meet you.
But this service doesn’t come cheap. It’s Just Lunch has several membership options that range in cost from $1,800 to $2,600 depending on what works best for you. Whether you are looking to meet a lot of new people, find a steady relationship, or get married to the right person, can you think of a better return on investment than your own personal happiness?
What is your success rate? We view our success by what happens on each of the dates you go on. It’s about meeting new and interesting people you would normally never meet on your own. Dating can be a numbers game, but most of our first dates lead to second dates, steady relationships, and even marriage. We’re very good at this.
My aunt Carol says she knows the perfect guy for me. Since your friends and family know you so well, it’s common to assume they would also be great at matching you. Unfortunately, they probably only know about three other single people, so the only criteria they have for matching you is based solely on the two of you being single. We meet our clients face to face, giving you a third person’s perspective of them and why we, as experts, think the two of you will hit it off, and our vast client base opens you up to a large pool of people.
I’m bombarded by ads for computer dating sites. I have a hard time believing a computer can do what we do!
