Electronica Fans, Achtung!

Kraftwerk, the Großvater of all electronica and industrial music, is coming to Denver for a rare concert appearance. For anyone who has ever danced to Daft Punk or Chemical Brothers or chilled out to Boards of Canada or Aphex Twin, you owe it to yourself to check out the group that started it all. Granted, this is not the Kraftwerk of the 70’s. Their sound, and their fan base, has evolved with the times. No doubt you’ll still hear the old Moog, but the complex set-ups the group once used have been replaced by a handful of Sony VAIOs. Even the sound has changed, becoming more complex – or at least more technologically advanced. That said, the old Krafwerk is still there and they’re worth a listen. So break out your black turtlenecks, practice dancing at right angles, and get to the Fillmore Auditorium next Wednesday at 8:00PM. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at 303-830-8497 or via TicketBorg – er, TicketMaster. Now is the time in Denver wenn wir tanzen! |
