Spam King Headed For Prison

A local spam king has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for tax evasion and falsifying information in e-mail headers. Eddie “Enhance you manhood 2 inches in a week” Davidson of Louisville was also ordered to pay more than 700-large to the IRS.

From his home office, Eddie sent out hundreds of thousands of spam e-mail messages that did everything from sell fake Rolexes to pump worthless penny stocks. A quick image search in Google didn’t bring up any pictures of Eddie, but we’re guessing he’s the sort of pale misanthrope who wanders around in sneakers and a stained Babylon 5 tee-shirt. Of course, some computer nerds go on from high school ignominy to do wonderful things like found quadrillion-dollar tech companies or innovate porn, others just go on to more asocial bumbling.

While the question of whether spamming is a prison-worth offense deserves legal scrutiny, part of me is lets out a silent cheer knowing the guy who clogs up my inbox with countless ads for Mexican Viagra is now going to be rooming with a hardened felon.
