When oh when will this, the longest campaign for anything, ever, finally come to an end? Well, being part of the media elite, I’m privy to information that the rest of you schlubs aren’t. I have it on good authority that the presidential race will absolutely, positively be over on November 4th. Don’t ask me how I found this out; it’s better for both of us if I say no more.

Anyway, November 4th is less than four months away. And now that we know who the candidates from both parties will be, we can get down to the very serious business of punishing them for wasting our damn time for two whole years. To that end, I submit for your pleasure the latest video from JibJab, the Los Angeles brothers who rose to fame in 2004 with their video satire of the Bush/Kerry race.

This time around the message is even funnier. “Time for Some Campaignin’” portrays McCain as a geriatric Patton-like warmonger and Obama as a dreamy naïf lost somewhere in fairytale land. Which, you know, pretty much sums it up for those of us not among the Kool-Aid drinkers of either party.
