As chief operating officer of TSN Investment Group, this 28-year-old Colorado native — along with his father (and hero), the former Frederick-based wholesale mogul Israel Salazar — is one of Denver’s youngest movers and shakers, overseeing real estate and investment strategies for the company he and his father founded in 2002. An avid boxer and travel nut, Salazar played baseball for the University of Northern Colorado before settling into the downtown area six years ago.

Favorite place to go on a Saturday afternoon:
Riding my chopper with my Dad. When I turned 18, my Dad bought me my first Harley Davidson; we have been riding together now for over 10 years.

Favorite dessert:
crème brûlée or sorbet — I’m not big on chocolate anything.

Favorite ski run:
Little Ollie on the back bowls of Vail — I lost one of my ski poles there last season, so I have some revenge in my heart.

Favorite rainy day activity:
afternoon delight

Favorite martini:
Grey Goose extremely dirty with three blue cheese–stuffed olives at Capital Grille

Favorite local band:
3oh!3

Favorite charities:
CASA, which saves children from the worst family environments, and the Cancer League, which speaks for itself

Favorite piece of public art:
The Millennium Bridge

Favorite library:
Denver Public Library

Favorite historic landmark:
The Flour Mill Lofts — Dana Crawford did a fantastic job turning that ugly piece of old cement into a place where people would live in a 3.5 million-dollar penthouse. I’m not sure if that’s a historic landmark.

Favorite local musician:
Philip Bailey — I grew up listening to Earth, Wind & Fire. Philip Bailey has one of the best voices in all music.

Favorite sweet spot:
Little Man Ice Cream in the Highlands

Favorite breakfast:
Menudo at Mexico City Lounge
