Boulder International Film Festival

Now in its sixth year, the Boulder International Film Festival is turning into a major destination on the film-festival circuit. BIFF is presented by the Colorado Film Society and is dedicated to providing the large, urban, film-hip audiences of the Boulder/Denver metro areas with an early look at the best new films in international cinema along with conversations with directors, producers, and actors; world-class food; parties; and an opportunity to rub elbows with filmmakers in a winter wonderland. Don’t miss the festival’s closing night, which will honor the legendary Alec Baldwin with the Award of Excellence. The evening’s tribute to Baldwin will include a film retrospective of his work followed by a Q&A with the man himself.

Museo de las Americas La Malagua Exhibition

Immerse yourself in Mexican art with the Museo de las Americas’ newest installation. La Malagua features the talent of five artists from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: Jessica Felix, Sergio Martinez, Fernando Sanchez, Miguel Perez, and Ireri Topete. Curated by Maruca Salazar, the exhibition changes the rules of the Mexican Loteria, a traditional card game, and highlights the Malagua card, which stands for the jellyfish. Exhibition runs through June.

Third Annual Miryam Brand Holocaust Film Project

Join the Mizel Museum for a community screening of We Must Remember. A product of the Miryam Brand Holocaust Film Project, this documentary follows 16 high school students on a life-changing journey along the present-day sites created by the Nazi regime. The evening also includes a Q&A with two of the students and the filmmakers' teacher, Doug Green, after the screening.
