Denver Magazine February Issue

Power can take on many different meanings, and this month we meet our 2010 Power Players — eight individuals who are at the top of their game. The state was stunned by the tragedy of two Berthoud High School wrestlers who lost their legs in a car accident in 2007. Tyler Carron and Nikko Landeros grace our cover and share their story along with a continued passion for sports. This month’s “Savor” section welcomes our new food editor, Stacey Brugeman, who will bring you regular features to look forward to each month. “Taste-Trotting” explores some of the great options for foodies around the state, and “Family Meal” shares the recipes for meals made for the staff before each shift at local restaurants. If you’re without a Valentine this month, turn to It’s Just Lunch for the ins and outs of using a dating service. We also talk to a former CU professor who uncovers the subtext of sex appeal. With this issue, we’re entering our third year of existence and want to thank you, our readers, for all of your support.
