Climbing for Kids

Denver Magazine joins IP5280, UMB Financial Corporation, Copper Conferencing and the Rocky Mountain Medical Group to sponsor Climbing For Kids. The nonprofit raises money for The Children's Hospital Foundation of Colorado, so the foundation can purchase books, art supplies and toys to help treat children with mental health issues. Employees and friends from the sponsorship companies will lead a climb to the top of 14,060-foot Mt. Bierstadt.

Concerts For Kids

Concerts For Kids will bring singer-songwriter and pianist Peter Cincotti to Denver this weekend to the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Performing with the musical legend will be Denver legend Hazel Miller. Christie and Walter Isenberg started Concerts for Kids in conjunction with Sage Hospitality in 2004; the nonprofit organizes concerts throughout the year to raise money for children's charities in the community.

Chrome and Chroma: A Motorcycle Art Exhibition

Can't get enough on the road? Check out this motorcycle art exhibition featuring eight artists who are all about the bikes. Commemorative biker shirts are available. The first 50 guests will receive commemorative posters. Need a quick fix or long for that glorified eagle on your tricep? Two tattoo artists will be on site, offering both permanent and temporary tattoos. Entertainment will be provided by Emilio Dominguez, who will be playing his electric guitar throughout the evening.

Forever Darling II

Denver's most stylish threads will be touted this Saturday at the Forever Darling II Fashion Show. Fallene Wells will be featured along with seven up-and-coming designers to bring you a fabulous night of fashion, food and charity. Love the look? Designers will be selling pieces from their pre-spring 2009 collections after the show. Proceeds from ticket sales go toward Dress for Success of Denver.

Gatsby in the Park

Wear your white-linen best for bocce. Sip on summer cocktails and nibble on hors d'oeuvres on the grassy lawn. Glide on the lake with paddleboat rides or place your bets in the casino gaming parlor and dance to the music of the Sheryl Renee Band. All proceeds will be benefit the Special Olympics.

Networking Night

Join Jeremy Osetermiller, Adrian Smith and Mike Downey as they host the Socialite III event honoring some of Denver's successful businessmen and businesswomen. Socialite III brings various business professionals together to network with one another on a business level and interact with one another on a social level. From 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., the music will be low and suitable for business conversation and making new contacts and friends. After 10:30 the music is turned up and the dance party will kick into high gear.
