Fashion Fund Raiser
Summer may be coming to a close, but fashion never takes a vacation. RSVP for the inaugural Be Beautiful, Be Yourself – Jet Set Fashion Show. Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper and former Broncos quarterback John Elway are just a few of the local celebs scheduled to appear at this philanthropic affair. Bestselling Author
Internationally known, award-winning author Isabel Allende (The House of the Spirits, Daughter of Fortune) will grace Denver for a speaking engagement at the Wells Fargo Theater next week. Allende, who has sold more than 51 million copies of her books in 30 languages, will discuss her upbringing in Chile, her exile following the assassination of her uncle President Salvador Allende and her legendary literary career. She also founded the Isabel Allende Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting and preserving the rights of women and children.

Harvest Week
Denver's finest local ingredients will be featured all week long during the Mile High City's much-anticipated Harvest Week. The Denver Independent Network of Restaurants has organized a culinary adventure, celebrating dozens of Denver's one-of-a-kind restaurants and featuring locally grown produce, locally raised fish and lamb and locally crafted beers and wines.
