The Above Average Show with Adam Lerner and Friends
Dedicated to contemporary art, the Lab at Belmar recently opened its doors to serve art lovers as a museum, think tank and public forum. Adam Lerner, director of Belmar's Laboratory of Art and Ideas, has created a three-part lecture series that will discuss the meaning of the contemporary art people see around the country.
If the word "lecture" bores you, don't worry. Adam plays a talk-show host bringing on different guests and experts poking fun at the often-confusing medium.
Episode one will discuss the works of Olafur Eliasson, Matthew Barney and Takashi Murakami. Famous demographer Patrick Kreuger, who can apparently give you the date you're going to die, will also make an appearance.
Individual tickets $7.50 (members), $12.50 (non-members)
