American Heart Association National Wear Red Day

On most days, picking out your outfit doesn't have much meaning. But on "Wear Red Day," it's vitally important, helping to raise funds to fight the number one killer of American women: cardiovascular disease. In fact, research shows only one in five females view heart disease as their greatest health threat. Wear Red Day is an important part of the Go Red for Women goal to build awareness and urge women to take action to reduce their risk of heart disease and to raise necessary funds for research and education. In the last five years, with the help of businesses, employees, and community members, Go Red for Women has raised more than $140 million nationally.

Donating to the cause is as easy as sending a text message. Use your cell phone and Text RED to 90999 or visit the AHA Website to donate.
