Bow Wow Buddies Project Ruffway
Launched in 2007 by Heidi Flammang, founder of the successful Camp Bow Wow franchise, Bow Wow Buddies Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of dogs everywhere. This month, Bow Wow Buddies is celebrating the first annual Project Ruffway event to support canine cancer research at Colorado State University’s Animal Cancer Center and the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation Foster Program, which will find homes for 2,000 unwanted dogs. Inspired by Bravo’s hit television series Project Runway, the event will showcase a runway show featuring models paired with a local shelter dog available for adoption. Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series
Snowshoe Shuffle Make some stompin' snowshoe tracks at the finale of the Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series. The event will attract first-time snowshoers, world-class premier snowshoe athletes, and kids of all ages for an opportunity to participate in a variety of on-snow events. A post-party and awards ceremony will take place on the Beaver Creek Village Plaza, with complimentary food and beverages. The top three overall 10K finishers will receive cash prizes, and the top three 5K finishers will receive merchandise prizes. Kempe Foundation Stand Up!
The Kempe Foundation is making an effort to turn Denver blue through its “Get Your Blue On” campaign this month. April marks national child abuse awareness month, and through a series of events, Kempe is bringing the critical issue of child abuse and neglect to the forefront. The Kempe Foundation has built a reputation as a world leader in the child protection movement and, in 2008, was chosen as “Nonprofit Organization of the Year” by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. Jeremy Bloom's Wish of a Lifetime Foundation Gala
Two-time Olympic skier, former NFL football player, and Colorado native Jeremy Bloom is celebrating the first annual gala for his Wish of a Lifetime Foundation, which aims to enrich the lives of low-income seniors. Bloom founded the foundation in living honor of his grandmother, Donna Wheeler, who at the age of 83 still works and lives in Summit County and serves as a constant inspiration to Jeremy in his personal, athletic, and professional endeavors. Shambhala Mountain Center Introduction to Meditation Retreat

Denver and The Adoption Exchange are teaming up to celebrate A Day for Wednesday’s Child by dedicating the entire broadcast day to showcasing Colorado children waiting for adoption and children who have been adopted.
