13th Annual Project PAVE "“ Janus Foundation Scholarship Luncheon

For the past 13 years, the Janus Foundation and Project PAVE have partnered to award scholarships to graduating seniors who have risen above violence and abuse to pursue their dreams of a college education. Jeannie Ritter, a Project PAVE supporter and board member, will speak at the event. Governor Bill Ritter served as chairman of the Project PAVE board of directors for 12 years and has a long history of involvement with the agency. Project PAVE is a nonprofit organization that provides services to children and families who have experienced relationship violence.

Spring Back to Vail

Round out your ski season at one of the country's biggest spring mountain bashes. Spring Back to Vail is packed with on-mountain events, village parties, and live music throughout the week. New this year is the Breitling All-Mountain Film Competition, which will feature teams of two people, one rider and one filmmaker, utilizing any terrain on Vail Mountain to compete for the most unique and original three-minute video. Chris Isaak and O.A.R. will take the stage for free concerts on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Neil Young at Magness Arena

It doesn't get more classic than Neil Young. After recently completing shows in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, this music icon will take the stage at DU's Magness Arena with special guests The Neville Brothers and Everest. The show will feature Young with the same band that so ably backed him on his last tour: Ben Keith, Rick Rosas, Chad Cromwell, Anthony Crawford, and Pegi Young. Song sets are expected to be eclectic, featuring both newer material and old-school Neil Young hits.

Dance for Life

Step into spring with some new moves from Cherry Creek Dance. It's just added a new class to its roster, focusing on health and rhythm. Taught by Marty Chapman, a professional coach and expert in personal wellness, Dance for Life is a full hour of choreographed dance instruction. The class is open to all abilities and ages and is offered free of charge twice this month. Students are encouraged to bring a hula-hoop (if you don't have one, you can purchase on-site for $15).
