Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center Champions for Children Dinner
Colorado has more than 12,000 foster children in the system, and each of them deserves a safe, stable life. Every year, the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center holds its Champions for Children Dinner — to salute the ordinary people who make an extraordinary difference in the lives of foster children — during National Foster Care Awareness Month. This year’s champions include foster parents, relative caregivers, mentors, advocates, policy makers, social workers, and volunteers. Governor Bill Ritter; Shari F. Shink, founder and executive director of the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center; and nationally recognized expert and best-selling author of I’m On My Way, But Your Foot Is On My Head Dr. Bertice Berry will all give remarks throughout an evening of cocktails, dinner, and a silent auction. Thursday, May 7, 6 – 9 pm Individual tickets: $175 Donald R. Seawell Grand Ballroom, DCPA |
