Do at the Zoo

Greeley Stampede

Get in touch with your inner cowboy at the 87th Annual Greeley Stampede. Spanning two weekends, the festival features a pro rodeo, bull riding, kids’ rodeos, country and classic rock concerts, a demolition derby, a televised Fourth of July parade, a carnival midway, a Western art show, free stage entertainment, and loads of festival activities. Headlining the main stage this year are Phil Vassar, Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy, Kid Rock, and Blake Shelton with Bucky Covington.

Grapes and Galleries

Denver Health Hot Rocks Griller Challenge

At the Hot Rocks Griller Challenge, you won’t find tiny hors d’oeuvres, teacakes, or raised pinkies. This is about 10 of Denver’s top chefs grilling real food in a heated competition. Men and women age 21 and older will savor juicy sliders and hearty side dishes expertly paired with wine, enjoy live music, and play games against local sports figures. And here’s the best part: It’s all to help raise awareness and funds for Denver Health Foundation’s men’s health programs.

Capitol Hill People’s Fair

Denver’s largest and one of the region’s longest-running annual events, the 38th Annual Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods People’s Fair promises to be bigger and better this year, bringing more than 250,000 fairgoers to Civic Center Park. This year’s fair will feature a wine pavilion, the Mural Project, a kids and family area with kids’ craft projects, a carnival, and much more. The eclectic musical lineup, featuring Opie Gone Bad, Hazel Miller, Brethren Fast, and Chris Daniels and the Kings, will play on six stages throughout the weekend.
