Food Bank of the Rockies and Denver Magazine Faces of Hunger Photo Essay Contest
Nearly 600,000 people in Colorado live with the reality of hunger. Food Bank of the Rockies’ blog, frontlinesofhunger.blogspot.com, profiles the stories behind the faces of our hungry neighbors. FBR, Denver Magazine, 2 the Deuce, Fox 31, and Fat Tail Gallery have partnered to give local photography lovers the opportunity to profile more faces of hunger and to learn, first-hand, about a problem taking place in our own backyard. The contest welcomes amateur and professional photographers to profile an individual or family struggling with hunger in Colorado to be judged by Fox 31’s Natalie Tysdal; Mayor John Hickenlooper; Kevin Seggelke, CEO of FBR; professional photographers; and Denver Magazine Publisher/Editor Michael Ledwitz.
The top 50 entries will be displayed at a debut event at Fat Tail Gallery September 2. Winning entries in both professional and amateur categories will be featured in Denver Magazine’s September issue and on 2 the Deuce’s and Fox 31’s morning news.
DEADLINE EXTENDED:
All entries must be postmarked by June 30.
