TONIGHT: Food Bank of the Rockies “Faces of Hunger” Photography Exhibition
Over the past three months, the “Faces of Hunger” campaign called upon photography enthusiasts to capture the reality of hunger that affects more than 600,000 Coloradans every year. Tour Fat Tail Gallery tonight as it showcases these compelling images. Light hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served. A suggested donation of $20, to benefit Food Bank of the Rockies, will be accepted at the door.

Project Education Sudan’s Third Biennial Art & Artifacts Benefit
Join Dr. Richard and Linda V.G. Kelley as they host an evening featuring more than 40 of Colorado’s finest artists’ original and Sudanese-inspired paintings and sculpture, including collector-quality African artifacts. Clínica Tepeyac Fiesta on the Plaza
Celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Clínica Tepeyac, which provides culturally competent health care and preventive health services for the medically underserved Latino population of Denver. The evening will feature an awards program, silent and live auctions, a traditional Mexican dinner, and live music. This is the organization’s largest fundraiser, and proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit the efforts of this nonprofit, volunteer health clinic.

Cheryl Shackelford Foundation’s 5th Annual “A Teal Soiree”
September marks Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and the Cheryl Shackelford Foundation is hosting a dining by design event to raise funds and promote education. Channel 2 The Deuce’s Melissa Mollet will emcee the evening, and soloist Angelia Onuoha will perform live throughout the evening. The Cheryl Shackelford Foundation is dedicated to increasing the rate of early detection of ovarian cancer and assisting those women diagnosed with the disease in a supportive role. It was cofounded and named in honor of a 20-year survivor of ovarian cancer.
