Brew at the Zoo

Join the creatures of the night at the Denver Zoo for a suds safari featuring more than 40 of Colorado’s finest breweries, complimentary bites from local restaurants, live music, and dancing. All proceeds from Brew at the Zoo will benefit Denver Zoo’s Red Apple Fund for Life-Long Learning, which makes it possible for all individuals — no matter their economic circumstances — to discover the wonders of animals through participation in Denver Zoo education programs.

Bow Wow Buddies Foundation K-9s Against Cancer

K-9s Against Cancer is an annual 5K fun run/1-mile walk, which is open to humans and their canine companions. This family-oriented day of festivities will feature music, food, games, giveaways, and demonstrations. Net proceeds will benefit the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, the Colorado State University Animal Cancer Center, and Susan G. Komen.

Exclusive Flavors of Japan at Sushi Den

Save the date for Sushi Den’s next dining event. The Master Chef and his crew from the renowned Hisaokaya restaurant in southern Japan are flying in for a one-night-only experience. Joining Sushi Den’s Master, Toshi Kizaki, and the Executive Chefs of Global Cuisine from the kitchens at Sushi Den and Izakaya Den, these masters will prepare a unique concert of Japanese dishes. With the six-course dinner, each dish will be accompanied by a special boutique sake. Reservations are mandatory as the event has a 40-person maximum.

Italian for Travelers

Feel like a local on your next trip to Italy. Balistreri Vineyards, Dream Italia, and the Italian Language Institute have teamed to offer a fun and easy basic conversation lesson centered around food vocabulary to prepare you to dine out in Italy. Native Italian-speaking teacher Maria Chiacchio of the Italian Institute will provide the lesson, followed by a tasty Italian-style lunch with a glass of wine on the patio at Balistreri Vineyards. Fired Up For Kids 2010 Calendar Debut

The 2010 Colorado Firefighter Calendar debut party will showcase the hottest firefighters of Denver. Proceeds from calendar sales benefit The Children's Hospital Burn Center. VIP ticket price includes a private party and interactive photo shoot with the firefighters, two drink tickets, hors d’oeuvres, an exclusive gift bag, and a 2010 calendar (6:30 – 8 pm). “The Art of Jane”

Artist, actress, author, and designer Jane Seymour will share a selection of her original artwork during an exclusive two-day event at Jared® the Galleria of Jewelry. The Wildlife Experience Boa Ball

The Wildlife Experience will transform into “A Worldly Affair” at this year’s annual Boa ball. The evening is not to be missed with roaming entertainment, global libations, and worldly cuisine. Funds are raised through sponsorships, ticket sales, and live and silent auctions. Many of the museum’s partners have teamed up to offer an outstanding auction including a SuperBowl XLIV package to Miami, fine jewelry from Tiffany & Co., a Los Angeles experience package, fine art, and more. The gala is the primary fundraiser for the Wildlife Experience and also serves as a celebration of the museum’s birthday.
