Cirque Du Soleil KOOZA KOOZA has just announced it will extend its run at the Pepsi Center grounds through October 4. KOOZA transports you to the origins of Cirque du Soleil, combining two circus traditions: acrobatic performance and the art of clowning. The show highlights the physical demands of human performance in all its splendor and fragility, presented in a colorful mélange that emphasizes bold slapstick humor. Embrace InHaus with John McEnroe Join CultureHaus for an exclusive sneak peek at the Denver Art Museum’s new Embrace exhibition – 17 new, site-specific works at the museum’s Hamilton Building. One installation is by local artist John McEnroe, who experiments with the expression of the fluidity, mass, and volume of everyday materials using plastic. McEnroe’s works can be seen in galleries and as public sculpture, many in and around Denver. Attendees will also have an opportunity to converse with McEnroe in an interactive discussion from 7 – 7:30 pm, followed by a question-and-answer session. American Dietetic Association Workshop The International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Colorado Food and Culinary Professionals is hosting a hands-on workshop with McCormick Spices to explore how flavor prints mark the difference between tastes and cuisines. Through a series of three chef demos, attendees will learn how spices, sugars, oils, and acids can be used as flavor enhancers and seasonings and how these ingredients influence the profiles of different cuisines, such as Mediterranean and Asian. The workshop will also include information about the health benefits of spices and herbs. Children’s Diabetes Foundation High Hopes Tribute Dinner Help support the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes (BDC) at the annual High Hopes Tribute Dinner. The BDC currently cares for more than 5,000 children and young adults with diabetes, and close to 75 percent of them are from the Rocky Mountain region. Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Earth, Wind & Fire will be among the exciting list of performers during an evening of dinner and dancing.
